In the heart of the Panorama Route, on the doorstep of economic centres, Nabana Lodge guarantees tranquil surroundings and a good night’s rest for both nature lovers and business travellers. At the end of the day, relax on the deck or in the pub, share your experiences with fellow guests or locals and finalise your days work on our WiFi connection.
Room Description at :
All our rooms overlook the farmlands to the east with breath-taking early morning sunrise scenes from the balcony. Of our 8 en-suite rooms, one room has a double bed and seven are twin rooms.
The rooms are built two rooms to a unit, and of the four units, two have interlinking doors – ideal for families where parents stay in the one room and kids stay next door.
We are 3 Star Graded by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa as well as “AA Recommended” by the AA Travel group. In your room you will find a clean and comfortable bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a TV with DSTV channels, coffee & tea making facilities as well as a safe. Hair dryer and laundry services are available on request As we are a small lodge, service is personal and we can cater for individual needs such as breakfast packs for those heading off early to the Kruger National Park, or specific dietary requirements.
Our rooms are fully catered as we do not have any self catering facilities. Because we have children of our own, we understand the requirements when having a baby.
Feel free to ask any of the staff to either steam your bottles in our kitchen, heat up baby’s food, or to request a camp cot for your baby to sleep in. We are situated close to the business centres of White River, Hazyview, Kiepersol, Sabie, Pilgrims Rest, Kruger National Park, Graskop and Bushbuckridge.
At Nabana Lodge you get a home away from home atmosphere in a safe environment with ample secure parking for both business travellers and tourists.

Husband to Liesl and dad to Rebecca and Vaughn, Head Chef Paul Shepheard trained in England at the acclaimed Stratford College. His extensive experience at top England restaurants and passion for cooking is evident in the food served at Thyme Restaurant at Nabana Lodge.
Our`bouillabaise` a French style fish soup with saffron potatoes Our homemade pies that we bake in the restaurant From fine dining to hearty pub meals, exquisite menus for functions to biker’s breakfasts, every preference can be met. Being a family restaurant, children are warmly welcomed with a special menu for them.
Thyme Restaurant caters for lodge guest and the general public and is open daily from 07h30. Eating is unhurried and leisurely and meals can be enjoyed either in the restaurant, on the deck overlooking the spectacular views over the escarpment, or in the garden close to the children’s play area.
This is the place where locals hang out after work, holiday guests swop stories of their experiences of the day and corporate travellers unwind and conclude the day’s business on the internet. It is also the place where anglers gather to discuss latest catches and the current best dams for bass and kurper.
Our Sportsman's bar is fully licensed and as a true sports bar all major sporting events are screened on our large movie screen, creating an electric atmosphere during games. It is not only all for the guys however, as the barman delights the ladies with an extensive cocktail menu and they receive special attention during the monthly Ladies Night.
A pool table is available for guests and a monthly speed pool competition held between locals add flavour. The bar is the place where you will find our “What’s Happening” notice board with all current events and promotions advertised. Kruger National Park
The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.
This national park of nearly 2 million hectares is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals including the Big 5.
Elephant Whispers is an Elephant Interaction and Safari Venue located on the banks of the Sabi River.
Guests can experience the thrill of being close to these magnificent creatures and witness their intelligence, their compassionate nature and sheer delight interacting with their human counterparts.
We are the preferred supplier to the tourism industry and tourists in Mpumalanga in respect of Scenic and Special Microlight flights offered in The Bantam B22 J aircraft to club members of all ages.
Flights range from 10min to 90mins over wonderful and breath-taking scenic lowveld country.
Idle & Wild
Idle & Wild is a working mango farm set in the lush scenic sub-tropical valley on the Sabie River in the Mpumalanga Province.
Birding, hikes, bass fishing, golfing, cycling and a choice of restaurants are in close proximity. Three are within 1 ½ km from our entrance and is ideally located for day trips. Idle & Wild Horse Whispers Outrides to suit beginners and for the more experienced horse rider.
A breathtaking ride alongside the river and through the hills leads to an idyllic picnic site in a secluded valley. Dip in the fresh mountain pool to cool down before enjoying your lunch in the shade of the Kiaat trees.
