Ngala Private Game Reserve is secluded in the Timbavati Reserve, part of the greater Kruger National Park. Ngala has many forms of wildlife - including huge breeding herds of elephant and high concentration of lion. The combination of habitats at Ngala attracts not only herds of elephant, but also an abundance of buffalo, white rhino, giraffe and antelope, while Africa's great cats - lion, leopard and cheetah - follow silently in their tracks. The vast terrain enables the wide-ranging and rare wild dog to thrive, whilst elusive nocturnal animals include the armadillo-like pangolin and the African wildcat.
Early morning game drives; afternoon and evening drives with spotlights - all game drives conducted in open landrovers; educational bush walks.Ngala will immerse you in the romance and style of a bygone era. Antique furniture, precious rugs, silver placing and cut-glass crystal grace the central living area, as well as the 20 air-conditioned bush cottages and blissful Safari Suite. The finesse of the decor is matched by the fine cuisine and the skill of the rangers and the trackers who introduce you to the big game of Africa.

The Camp’s lap pool, merging with the contours of the riverbank, is perfect for idle afternoon game viewing. The food at Ngala Tented Camp is as individual and inventive as the Camp itself.
