Kuzuko Lodge - A Canopy of a Million Stars.

Hidden within the cavernous bushveld of the Eastern Cape's Sunday River region lies the Addo Elephant National Park.  It is here, where the evening is broken by the howl of the Black-backed jackal and the francolins' call heralds each new dawn, you will find the luxurious Kuzuko Lodge.

Situated in a private section of the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park in the Eastern Cape, Kuzuko Lodge is approximately two hours drive north of Port Elizabeth and is the ideal destination for both holidays and conferences.

Kuzuko boasts conference facilities for 30 guests, a business centre, wine cellar, swimming pool, wellness centre, restaurant and bar and has a host of leisure activities on offer.

Guests are housed in 24 luxurious chalets, each with a private deck offering spectacular views of the malaria free Karoo bushveld of the big five park below.

All chalets, three of which are wheelchair accessible, features an en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, direct dialing telephones, wireless internet connectivity and data cable points.


Inclusions / Exclusions

Rates include transfers between Kuzuko Gatehouse and Kuzuko Lodge, accommodation, welcome drinks on arrival, high tea, two game drives (refreshments will be served on game drives), four-course dinner, early morning tea/coffee and brunch.

Children under the age of 12, accompanied by an adult, qualify for a complimentary game drive. Minimum age for game drives, as per lodge, still applies.

Children under the age of 12 (maximum two children per room) will be accommodated free of charge on a fully inclusive basis if sharing with one or two adults. Children occupying their own rooms will be charged the full adult rate. No children under the age of 6 years are permitted on game drives.


Extra information

Outdoor and indoor activities are available for all children aged 5-14 years. Activities are geared around natural resource protection, environmental education and responsible recreation offering a special opportunity to explore the Addo Elephant Park and Khoisan caves.

Game drives offer guests the opportunity to see a wealth of plant and animal life.  Kuzuko's section of the park boasts a wide selection of game including elephants, lion, leopard, Cape and Burchell zebra, rhino, cheetah, a variety of antelope species as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo, as well as a number of animals endemic to the area.

Hikes to the San Cave Paintings are also available.  These historic paintings are over 400 years old.

More than 300 species of birds and 600 species of plants have been counted in this diverse area which boasts semi-desert and forest areas side by side.
