Abbotsbury

Accommodation in Graaff Reinet

Star Rating:4

Abbotsbury is a 4300 acre sheep farm situated on the N9 main route from Johannesburg and Durban to the Garden Route, Plettenberg Bay, Knysna and Cape Town. The beautiful valleys with their towering rock formations, where the Black Eagles, caracal and klipspringer live, are also home to the majestic kudu, mountain reedbuck and the rare grey rhebuck.

Just 3kms off the N9, up a good gravel road through the grazing springbok and steenbok, is the carefully restored homestead (circa 1827), set in beautiful gardens with rolling green, manicured lawns. Sue and Gordon are there to meet you and show you into your accommodation, where you can relax in privacy after a day of travelling or sightseeing. Enjoy warm hospitality, the fresh Karoo air and amazing night skies.
