- 9 Luxury rooms (7 of them are inter-leading) accommodating a maximum of 2 adults, sharing with 1 child, subject to the availability of rooms with sleeper couches.

Inclusions / Exclusions

- All rates are quoted and invoiced in South African Rand (ZAR) on “per person per night” basis. 

Adults travelling: 
- Adult rates apply to persons (12 years and older) sharing one room or suite. Persons 12 years and older are considered adults and will therefore require their own room/suite at the applicable rates. 

- Single rates are only applicable when one adult is staying by him/herself in one room/suite. Not applicable when an adult is sharing with a child/children. 

- Note that all rooms can sleep a maximum of two adults. 

- Above mentioned rates are inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea, game drives, guided walks, tea, coffee, water, game drive beverages, tourism levy and 14% Vat (all other beverages are excluded and can be settled upon departure). 

- Persons under the age of 16 years are not permitted on any walking safaris. 

Children travelling: 
- Applicable to Riverdene Family Lodge and Sarili Family Lodge only. 
- Child rates are applicable to children from 4 years up to and including 11 years; irrespective of whether children are sharing with adults or staying in their own room (single or sharing). 0 to 3 year olds are accommodated at no additional cost. 
- Above mentioned rates are inclusive of the “Kids on Safari” program, breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea, game drives, tea, coffee, water, game drive beverages, tourism levy and 14% Vat (all other beverages are excluded and can be settled upon departure). 
- Persons under the age of 16 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.

Kids on Safari:

A truly unique, educational and fun family safari!

Upon arrival, our fabulous children’s coordinator (Riverdene Lodge) or lodge manager (Sarili Lodge) will discuss activity options with the family taking the family’s size, children’s ages and the weather into consideration. Child minding facilities are available at an additional cost for children younger than 4 years as they are too young to join game drives.

Each child will receive an age-appropriate gift pack.

Activities are focused on promoting the conservation of species and the protection of habitat whilst maintaining a humane and compassionate approach to the welfare of animals

Shamwari Animal Rehabilitation Centre
Different types of wild animals or raptors that are being cared for at the time, under special supervision by the Shamwari veterinarian team, for release back into the wild

Riverdene Lodge - Children can partake in various social, sporting, arts and cultural activities under the supervision of our children’s coordinator.

Special Notes
•Sarili Lodge does not have a dedicated children’s coordinator and therefore a child minder must be requested prior to arrival (additional cost)
•All swimming activities must be supervised by parents at all times
•Children younger than 4 years of age are too young to join game drives; unfortunately no exceptions can be made
•Parents must accompany children of younger than 4 years when visiting the Born Free Centre and Shamwari Wildlife Hospital
