Lodge Room
These spacious rooms lead onto a west facing balcony which offers breathtaking sunsets over the Langeberg Mountain Range all within steps of the sparkling pool. Your luxury lodge rooms is elegantly decorated in an African theme and fitted with TV & DVD, telephone and tea/coffee facilities. The en-suite bathroom offers his and her vanities, bath and shower.
Lodge Family Room
These spacious family rooms lead onto a west facing balcony which offers breathtaking sunsets over the Langeberg Mountain Range all within steps of the sparkling pool. Your luxury lodge family room is elegantly decorated in an African theme and fitted with mini bar fridge, telephone, tea/coffee facilities, TV and DVD. The two sleeper couches are ideal for children or teenagers. Cots are available for infants. The en-suite bathroom offers his and her vanities, bath and shower.
Deluxe Lodge Room
These spacious rooms lead onto a west facing balcony which offers breathtaking sunsets over the Langeberg Mountain Range all within steps of the sparkling pool. Your deluxe lodge rooms is elegantly decorated in an African theme and fitted with telephone and tea/coffee facilities. The en-suite bathroom offers his and her vanities, bath and shower. All deluxe lodge rooms are equipped with TV/DVD, signature room amenities,  bottled water, bath sheets & gowns,complimentary Wifi access, fresh fruit basket and personally selected books.
Valley View Bush Chalets
Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of these free standing luxury units with en suite bathroom. Your private viewing deck overlooks the lush valley overgrown with Milkwoods, Wild Olives, Cheesewoods and other indigenous vegetation and birdlife. The bush chalets are stylishly decorated and fitted TV, telephone and tea/coffee facilities.
Waterhole View Bush Chalet
Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of these free standing luxury units with en suite bathroom. Your private viewing deck overlooks the main waterhole frequented by buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, and other wildlife. The bush chalets are stylishly decorated and fitted with TV, telephone, tea/coffee facilities and other creature comforts.
Honeymoon Bush Chalet
Enjoy the privacy and seclusion of this free standing luxury unit with en suite bathroom. Your private viewing deck overlooks the main waterhole frequented by buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, and other wildlife. The honeymoon chalet is luxuriously appointed with all the lavish necessities you require and fitted with TV, telephone, tea/coffee facilities and other creature comforts. Enjoy sundowners from your deck while listening to the sounds of the wild.

Children Policy
•Children of all ages are welcome at the Garden Route Game Lodge and are specially catered for.
•Children are accommodated in our Luxury Lodge Family Rooms only.
•Children between 6 and 12 years pay half price for accommodation packages, meals & game drives.
•Children between 3 and 6 years pay quarter price for accommodation packages, meals & game drives
•Children under 3 are free.
•Children are accommodated in two separate beds.
•A maximum of 2 children and 1 infant can be accommodated per room with a maximum of 2 adults sharing
•All activities forming part of the Kids on Safari including extra game drives are included in your stay.
•Mom and dad are welcome to join the kids game drive at 2pm.
•Child minders can be arranged during game drive times as well as meal times.
•Child minding is done by Lodge staff at an additional cost.

Bush Spa
End off your day’s game viewing with a soothing full body massage or pamper yourself with one of our indulgent treatments. Built from stone and thatch our treatment room overlooks the game reserve and features it own private plunge pool for your enjoyment. Relax and allow our professional therapist to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

Guided Game Drive
Enjoy sunset and sunrise game drives in an open Land Rover with your experienced game ranger who will bring you sightings of lion, elephant, white rhino, buffalo and cheetah. Our private game reserve is also home to giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species such as bontebok, red hartebeest, kudu, eland, impala, springbuck and many more. Game drives will take between 2 and 3 hours depending on how much time is spent at each sighting.

Elephant Feeding
Enjoy this opportunity to feed, touch and photograph Selati and Kidibone and experience a close encounter with an African elephant. Eating is an elephant’s favourite pastime so be sure to have your bucket of pellets handy. Allow your game ranger to share with you some amazing facts about these gentle giants. This activity takes place in a controlled environment under the close supervision of your game ranger.

Reptile Encounters
From the deadly black mamba to the African rock python, Reptile Encounters at Garden Route Game Lodge is home to 28 different snake species, Nile crocodiles, tortoises and terrapins. The collection of snakes includes most local species one would encounter in South Africa as well as some exotic species. The guided tour will allow you a chance to handle some of the non venomous snakes if you are brave enough including the African python, corn snake, ball python, milk snake and albino burmese python, great for photo opportunities.

Bird watching on the Bird Walk
The Bird Walk takes the visitor on a lovely safe walking trail dotted with information boards displaying information and colour photographs of birds and mammals they can expect to encounter on the walk. This activity takes place in an area where there are no dangerous games so can be enjoyed guided or unguided.

Skull Garden
The Skull Garden is made up of a collection of skulls ranging from Africa’s largest land mammals to some of the smallest. A stroll through the Skull Garden is a popular activity with children (and adults). Allow your game ranger to explain to which mammal each skull belongs. This activity takes place in an area where there are no dangerous games so can be enjoyed guided or unguided.

There is much to see and do at Garden Route Game Lodge and to get the full experience while having some time to relax and unwind we recommend at least a two night stay.
A day at Garden Route Game Lodge

7:15 Depart on sunrise game drive with your game ranger, enjoy coffee/tea stop at    lookout point on the reserve.

9:00 Return to the Lodge for a full buffet breakfast in our Serengeti’s Restaurant

10:00 Join in the guided tour of our Reptile Center and Cheetah Outreach Center.

12:30 Enjoy a light lunch at the poolside or in the restaurant.

13:30 Afternoon at leisure, relax around the pool on the sun loungers or take a nap.

16:30 Depart for evening game drive with your ranger, enjoy a sundowner stop at lookout point on the reserve.

19:00 Return to the Lodge for dinner in the Boma or our Serengeti’s Restaurant
