Falaza is idealy situated, neighbouring the World Heritage Site of St Lucia. It is also near the renowned Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, boasting the ‘Big Five’, and the fascinating corals of Sodwana Bay. Numerous species of animals have been re-introduced to Falaza, which borders onto the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park. Falaza overlooks Lake St. Lucia's False Bay and is centrally located to KwaZulu-Natal's major game reserves.
The thatched main lodge boasts a restaurant where you can enjoy a hearty five-course dinner, while breakfast is served on the sundeck in the peaceful surroundings of the indigenous garden. Sumptuous meals are also served with rustic charm in the grass walled Boma under the stars. Light lunches and picnic baskets are done on request. The bar, lounges, outdoor boma shelter and swimming pool all encourage intimacy with nature, embracing the mood of the bush.
Apart from enjoying game drives, game walks, horse trails and boat cruises on the Mzinene River, visitors have other interesting options for day outings. Day trips can be done to the Hluhluwe/ Imfolozi and Mkuze Game Reserves to view the Big Five. Deep sea fishing or scuba diving can be done at Sodwana and St. Lucia, while Dumazulu is an interesting option for a Zulu cultural experience. A swimming pool awaits you if you’d rather spend a day relaxing at the lodge. Children are welcome at Falaza .
