Hluhluwe Town

50 Km's South of Mkuze lies the village of Hluhluwe, which is the hub of tourism in KwaZulu Natal. Hluhluwe, derives its name from the river flowing through it which, in turn, is named after the unhluhluwe climber of thorny monkey rope (Dalbergia Armata) that originally got its name from the Zulu word for cock spur, (which the thorn on the plant closely resembles), and grows in profusion along the banks.
